We are a network of further education colleges, universities, private and voluntary sector skills providers and employability providers. We are managed by the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges.
Through our members we work to meet the needs of employers and West Yorkshire economy by providing access to skills and training.
Leeds is the largest centre outside London for financial and business services, digital, creative, publishing and broadcasting. It has the second highest concentration of knowledge intensive jobs and is the third largest manufacturing centre by local authority area.
West Yorkshire includes Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield districts.
In April 2011, representatives from further education colleges, universities and private and voluntary sector skills providers came together to form the Leeds City Region Skills Network. In 2021, the Skills Network was rebranded as the West Yorkshire Skills Partnership to reflect the changing political structure in the region.
Our members work together through this unique collaboration to meet the needs of employers and the West Yorkshire economy.
