Tender: Revised deadline for applications for Knowledge Facilitators 12pm Friday 10 December 2021

The West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) is seeking training providers to develop and deliver learning to further education curriculum leaders in West Yorkshire, to allow them to implement and replicate these teachings within their colleges.

WYCC was successful in its bid for funding from the Department for Education (DfE) Further Education Professional Development Grants (FEPDG) to deliver a pilot project- FE Catalyst Learning. The project will invest in and implement training packages to address challenges faced by staff entering further education from industry,as well as upskilling existing staff in vocational areas.

The objectives of the programme are to:

• Develop the application skills related to industry knowledge for both new and existing further education teaching staff
• Fully enhance teaching capability and confidence
• Facilitate peer to peer experiences that enrich curriculum delivery

Applications are welcome for the following themes (‘LOTS’):

• Socratic questioning to meet the needs of individual learners
• Blended learning and virtual learning environments to aid classroom learning
• Problem solving (creating tasks that develop learners’ ability to problem solve)
