WYCC is launching a series of events to connect with key sectors in the Leeds City Region, starting with its first 'Skills Cafe' on Thursday 27 June.
Each month The Skills Service (WYCC) will host a ‘Skills Café’ offering good coffee and time with our skills advisors to carry out skills plans with SMEs.
This will be complemented with free taster workshops for businesses working in the digital sector. The workshops give a businesses a flavour of the quality and variety of courses on offer in The Skills Catalogue. The topics are based on labour market intelligence that shows the in-demand skills in the digital sector (other than digital skills).
Two of the training providers who are contracted under The Skills Service will deliver the free, 45 minute workshops, including one on leadership and one on communication (pitching). Delegates will take away some key tips and tricks of the trade from expert trainers.
Digital businesses in the Leeds City Region must book onto these free workshops in advance on Eventbrite, whereas businesses can just drop in to enjoy a coffee (or tea!) and benefit from a skills plan session with an advisor.
The drop in Skills Plan sessions will take place at East Parade Social.
The workshops, take place at Avenue HQ (the same building as East Parade Social).
