Details:

The West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges is excited to invite you to a very special event that will mark the next step in our, and our partners' journey to making West Yorkshire more sustainable.

Join us as we introduce The Green Skills Service at one of West Yorkshire's greenest and greatest event spaces, The Weston at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

The Green Skills Service will offer businesses in our region the support and inspiration to gain the skills they need to become more sustainable and contribute to carbon reduction, whilst remaining successful.

Why come?

  • Join us from 10.30am for a warm (hot drink!) welcome.
  • Hear from WYCC about the plans for green skills courses, how you can get involved and what we've already achieved.
  • Take inspiration from The Weston as we celebrate and share their sustainable business model.
  • Learn about the theory behind The Oak Project; a national arts programme which has developed as a result of research that shows when people are connected to nature, they are much more likely to do more to help the environment.
  • Network with others who can take The Green Skills Service forward and inspire businesses to engage, plan and grow their skillset to take action on climate change.
  • Enjoy a hearty, locally-sourced winter lunch with us (menu attached), then feel free to explore as much or as little of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park as you like before you set off to play your part.

Places are limited so if you would like to attend, please contact marketing@westyorkshirecolleges.ac.uk to find out more.
