Lightwater Quarries get training for safe and efficient HGV driving through The Skills Service

Ripon-based business, Lightwater Quarries, were a satisfied customer of The Skills Service when they requested a training course that would improve the safe and efficient driving of their HGV drivers.

Working with skills advisor Parminder Singh, Kevin Parker, the MD of the aggregate supplies-specialist, found the service to be just the job.

He said, "I found the team easy to deal with, very knowledgeable about the help available and the training that was sourced for me was very good. The service was really useful and the funding was a bonus for the business."

The Safe and Efficient Driving course was not already listed on the Skills Catalogue, so was procured to be delivered by Melmerby Training Services, following approval by The Skills Service panel.
